Please note the requirements below.SummaryThe Account Director manages National Accounts providing commercial leadership for both existing business and new initiatives within the Telecommunications vertical markets, which include telecom, cable, fiber, cellular, and other communications media. The Account Director will cultivate customer and industry relationships to foster improved account collaboration while developing additional value-added selling opportunities. The position requires a proven track record successfully building and managing accounts in complex environments.ResponsibilitiesAchieve company quotas for profitable account revenue maintenance, new sales bookings, and increased scope within named accountsManage the entire buying cycle on National ***** new business identification, relationship development, opportunity qualification, value-based proposal creation, accurate resource forecasting, strategic action planning, contract negotiations, focused deal closing, and service deliveryDevelop strategic account plans and overarching win strategies for named National AccountsEffectively represent the company and communicate its core value proposition, suite of offerings, and associated business impacts to utility and communications customers and prospectsTrack, analyze, and report relevant sales and pipeline metrics to communicate account progress and to efficiently utilize organizational supportBuild, extend, and manage a diverse network of contacts including utility and telecom executive stakeholders, key partners, and industry consultantsSpearhead account expansion activity by driving effective cross-selling across company offer specialties to increase customer spend and attain greater "wallet share" for combined locating and advanced services offeringsGather market and customer intelligence to help the organization develop and deliver expanded offerings around project services and innovative, data-informed commercial modelsWork alongside Marketing to develop commercial collateral, customer case studies, business presentations, etc. that advance commercial initiativesActively engage the customer community at industry events, conferences, and client meetingsRepresent the organization in a manner consistent with its core values and team-based approach.RequirementsMinimum 5-7 years of experience working within the utility and/or communications industriesExtensively networked at executive levels within the utility and/or telecom sectorsPersuasive communications and presentation skillsExperience accessing and leveraging CRM and sales analysis tools (e.g. Salesforce)Market development and demand generation expertiseBackground in service industries, ideally with telecommunications or infrastructure-related fieldsBachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred, or equivalent industry experienceAbility to travel ~50% to customer locations and conferencesWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
