Are you an app development visionary? Do you have the expertise to take an innovative app from good to great, from niche to mainstream? Sparksfly, a video-based dating app that prioritizes personality and genuine connection over appearances, is looking for a passionate individual or team to take the reins and lead it to new heights.What We're Looking ForThis is a full-time leadership position for someone who will manage every aspect of Sparksfly's development, growth, and promotion, with equity and ownership in the company. You will be the CEO, CTO, and Chief Marketing Officer - the person driving the app's vision, strategy, and success.About SparksflySparksfly was born out of frustration with the superficial nature of traditional dating apps. Our platform is designed for authenticity, where users connect via videos, showcasing their personalities rather than just photos. Key features include:Video-only profiles to bring out genuine connections.24-hour match timer encouraging more calls and video chats for meaningful interactions.Eliminate the timer with video calls to foster real relationships.We also have a Unity game app, Graveslayer, under our portfolio that you will manage as a secondary responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:o Evaluate, optimize, and maintain the existing tech stack (Firebase Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Notifications, and Flutter).o Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, crashes, or bad practices in the current codebase.o Ensure the app is up-to-date with the latest Android/iOS SDK versions.o Integrate new features and upgrades to enhance user experience and engagement.Team and Process Management:Build and lead a team of developers, designers, and marketers if not already in place.Define workflows and best practices for app updates, user feedback, and new feature rollouts.Ensure a seamless operation for both the Sparksfly app and the Unity game app Graveslayer.Marketing and Growth Strategy:Design and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to increase downloads, user engagement, and retention.Develop and implement strategies to scale Sparksfly and increase its visibility in the dating app space.Use data analytics and user behavior insights to guide marketing and app feature decisions.Manage the app's social media presence and promotional campaigns.Business Development:Cultivate partnerships with influencers, dating coaches, or communities to promote Sparksfly.Identify potential revenue streams and implement monetization strategies, such as premium features or subscriptions.Monitor and report on KPIs, app performance metrics, and growth milestones to stakeholders.Quality Assurance and User Experience:Conduct regular app testing to ensure a bug-free, smooth user experience.Gather and respond to user feedback, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.Collaborate with designers to continuously improve UI/UX for a seamless and engaging interface.Unity Game Management (Graveslayer):Oversee maintenance and updates for Graveslayer to ensure smooth gameplay.Add new features or enhancements based on user feedback and game trends.Your QualificationsTechnical Expertise· Minimum 6 years of experience in app development, including full-cycle mobile app management.· Proficiency with Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Notifications) and Flutter for app development.· Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging issues such as crashes, ANRs, API, and database problems.· Familiarity with Unity for maintaining and updating mobile games.· Knowledge of UI/UX best practices to deliver user-centric app experiences.Leadership and Vision· Proven ability to manage or build teams of developers, designers, and marketers.· Experience scaling apps to mainstream success with data-driven decision-making.· Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and long-term growth.Marketing and Growth· Experience with app marketing, including app store optimization (ASO) and social media campaigns.· Knowledge of monetization strategies like in-app purchases and premium subscriptions.· Demonstrated success in scaling apps to top rankings on app stores.Why Join Us?Significant equity and ownership in Sparksfly.Autonomy to make strategic decisions and shape the app's future.An opportunity to revolutionize the dating app industry.A probationary 90-day period to evaluate our fit and partnership potential.Ideal Candidate LocationUSA-based, with preference for California's Bay Area.Apply NowIf you're ambitious, passionate, and ready to lead Sparksfly to the top of the charts, we want to hear from you.
