About the Role Under general direction, the Irrigation Operations Manager will: Lead, supervise, and coordinate  a department of approximately 60 team members in  the implementation of an aggressive  capital  constructi on   and maintenance  program  to  sustain and enhance   irrigation distribution  service and reliability . Oversee distribution of irrigation water and manage off-stream storage reservoirs. Develop and administer  budgets  including  pest control, inventory, irrigation, field maintenance,  capital construction,  and  fleet maintenance  operations. Coordinate with and provide technical input to  SSJID  engineering  and technical  staff  on  system design, repair,  and  improvements . Mentor ,  train   and  monitor   safe ,  effective, and  quality  execution  of  construction and maintenance  practices . We are seeking a candidate with: Extensive experience in construction  management  and operations, including  planning  and  supervising large-scale projects . Knowledge and experience with  irrigation  and water distribution  systems   and drainage infrastructure. Strong organizational , budget, personnel  management, and   problem-solving skills to manage  and coordinate  resources   effectively. Demonstrated ability to lead ,  inspire , and mentor  teams while ensuring compliance with  applicable  safety standards ,  laws, regulations , and SSJID policies.
