ABOUT THE ROLE: The Tax Resolution Sales Training Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales training programs focused on tax resolution services. This role combines deep knowledge of tax resolution processes with advanced sales methodology to train sales representatives in effectively closing complex tax resolution cases. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Design and conduct intensive training programs on tax resolution sales processes, including IRS programs, offer in compromise, installment agreements, and penalty abatement. Develop training materials that blend technical tax knowledge with proven sales techniques specific to tax resolution scenarios. Conduct training sessions utilizing a combination of learning methods such as in-classroom, hands-on system walkthroughs, job shadowing, and role playing. Create and maintain role-playing scenarios that reflect common taxpayer situations and objections. Train sales teams on qualifying prospects through financial analysis and tax transcript review. Implement training programs to ensure sales representatives understand both tax resolution options and closing techniques. Monitor and analyze sales team performance metrics to identify areas requiring additional training. Provide one-on-one coaching sessions focusing on closing techniques and handling specific case scenarios. Collaborate with sales management to customize training programs based on evolving business needs and sales goals. Monitor and evaluate the performance of trainees, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their professional development. Provide regular updates to leadership regarding progress of newly hired employees receiving training. Become a subject matter expert (SME) in all sales procedures to support the entire operations of the team, serving as a go-to resource for clarifications, guidance, and best practices for new team members. Conduct ongoing sales training sessions on specific aspects of tax resolution services. Review and analyze recorded sales calls to provide targeted feedback and improvement strategies. Update training materials to reflect changes in IRS programs and regulations. Schedule and conduct refresher training sessions for sales representatives. Create and distribute weekly sales tips and best practices. Track and report on training effectiveness through close rates and revenue metrics. Coordinate with compliance and technical teams to ensure sales practices align with regulatory requirements. Develop new hire onboarding programs specific to tax resolution sales. Conduct regular assessments of sales team knowledge and capabilities. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, direct reports, and others at TaxRise to ensure a seamless client experience and successful tax resolution outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE: Proficient Microsoft Office Suites, Google Gmail, Calendar and internal communication software. Minimum 5 years' experience delivering sales training, preferably in financial services, consumer lending or tax industry. 2+ years of successful tax resolution sales experience Deep understanding of IRS programs, procedures, and requirements Proficient experience in various CRM systems such as Salesforce. Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods. Ability to motivate, engage and develop new team members into sales professionals. Ability to build trusting relationships and influenced at senior levels. Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment. Ability to relate your work with business outcomes and how work aligns across business functions. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees of all levels. Detail orientated and commitment to a high degree of accuracy. Comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing, and demanding environment. Have a high level of interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and be trustworthy to a broad range of stakeholders. Motivated self-starter with a passion for coaching and developing others.
