We are committed to sustainability, equality, and giving back to the community.Role Description We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fine Jewelry Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will deliver an exceptional client experience by leveraging your expertise in fine jewelry to guide customers in selecting engagement rings, wedding bands, and other luxury pieces.The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of diamonds, fine jewelry, and custom designs. Success in this role requires being a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to acquire new skills through hands-on experience and mentorship from a talented team. A deep understanding of jewelry is critical for providing personalized guidance and outstanding service that meets the high expectations of our clients. Additionally, a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful client relationships are key to excelling in this dynamic role.Primary ResponsibilitiesSales & Client EngagementAssist clients in selecting fine jewelry, engagement rings, and wedding bands with confidence and expertise.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through personalized communication, including text messaging, social media platforms, and traditional methods.Deliver an exceptional client experience by understanding customer needs, preferences, and special occasions.Actively contribute to achieving personal and team sales goals.Product Knowledge & ExpertiseMaintain strong knowledge of fine jewelry materials, gemstones, and diamonds, staying up-to-date with industry trends.Educate clients on the unique qualities of materials and craftsmanship behind each piece.Ensure accurate and professional communication regarding product details, availability, and care.Operational ExcellenceUtilize CRM systems to manage client relationships, track sales progress, and meet performance goals.Maintain high attention to detail in handling transactions, documentation, and customer follow-ups.Demonstrate agility in using computers and other tools to support daily operations.Collaborate with team members to support the overall success of the store, embodying a company-first mentality.Team CollaborationFoster a positive and supportive work environment, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.Work proactively with the team to meet store-wide goals while maintaining individual accountability.Customer ServiceGo above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every client interaction leaves a lasting impression.Handle client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.Experience & EducationExperience:2-3+ years of direct experience in fine jewelry sales, including working with engagement rings and wedding bandsStrong knowledge of fine jewelry materials, gemstones, and diamonds.Education:Bachelors DegreePreferred: Certifications such as Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP), Graduate Diamonds Diploma (GDD), or Graduate Gemologist (GG) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or equivalent institutions.Workdays & Hours:Tuesday - Friday: Core hours 11:00am - 7:00pm.Saturday: Core hours 11:00am - 6:00pmWe are closed Sundays and MondaysWhat you'll get at G.St:Annual salary $70-$75k range, plus commissionFour Weeks/Year Combined Paid Vacation and Personal DaysMedical, dental, and vision insurance401K with employer contributionsGenerous employee discountsAccess to professional developmentFSA, HSA spending accountCommuter BenefitsGreenwich St. Jewelers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
