Logistics Account Coordinator

Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a Logistics Account Coordinator to join their growing team in the Chicago area. The Logistics Account Coordinator will manage account coordination and logistics tasks. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in the office.Logistics Account CoordinatorResponsibilities:Provide exceptional customer service by responding to emails and phone inquiries related to logistics and account managementManage transportation logistics through TMS (Transportation Management System), updating events, tracking shipments and resolving delivery issuesProcess customer paperwork and accurately upload documentation into the databaseAssist with sourcing and compliance tasks, such as obtaining updated vendor insurance certificates and comparing service costsCollaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a smooth customer experienceConduct basic analytics and information gathering to support decision-making and problem-solvingMaintain organized and detailed customer records to ensure compliance with company policiesLogistics Account CoordinatorRequirements:High school diploma required; a Bachelors degree is a plusPrior experience in dispatching, logistics operations or shipment coordination is highly desirableExperience working within a third-party logistics company is highly preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with TMS or other logistics software is a plusStrong communication skills with an extroverted personality for phone interactionsDetail-oriented, organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentA strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and a drive to succeed are essentialThis role is ideal for candidates with experience in dispatching, operations, shipment coordination, or logistics who are looking to develop a career in logistics or customer service, with the potential for growth into Account Executive or Account Manager roles.
