The Independent Insurance Agent will be responsible for selling various insurance policies, advising clients on their coverage needs, and customizing insurance programs to suit individual clients.QualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in an Insurance agency (captive or independent) is requiredWillingness to make outbound phone calls or visits to build referral opportunities to grow the bookStrong sales and negotiation abilitiesDetail-oriented and organizedAbility to understand and explain complex insurance policiesKnowledge of insurance regulations and best practicesPrevious experience in insurance sales is a plusLicensing and certification as an insurance agent in TexasCompensationThe agent will be assigned an existing book of renewals to manage on which they will be paid (This varies monthly with renewals but will act similarly to a base)The agent will also be paid on new policy sales
