Our client, a Gift/Stationery/Home goods Wholesaler based in the Brooklyn, NY area, has hired us to find a Sales Manager to join their growing organization. The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers within the off-price arena.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Drive growth through sales of custom products to existing accountsMaintain relationships with existing partners by providing support, information and guidance.Identify and pursue business opportunities by analyzing their position in the industryIdentify product improvements by maintaining a strong command of the industry trends, market activities and competitors.Collaborate with the product development team on addressing customer product voids.Manage new item set up and overall portal maintenance for select accountsSolid command of companys reporting systems to create ad-hoc analyzes.Desired *****Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Business5-7 sales years experience selling into big box and/or off-price retailersExperience with gifts and/or home decor highly desiredAt least 2 years experience selling custom product/private label programs within the retail industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travelOur client offers a robust compensation package that includes an annual base salary and bonus plus quarterly commission.
