Our client - a major utility firm based out of Westchester County, NY - has an immediate need for an ERP Training Lead. The particulars of the position are as follows. Project Overview The client is undergoing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation that includes the implementation of new systems and processes. This role is responsible for developing and leading the strategy and implementation of the enterprise-wide ERP training program for the client. Training Lead will oversee the training and development initiative related to organizational change. This role requires assessing training needs, designing comprehensive training strategies, and developing engaging training programs and materials. The Training Lead is responsible for coordinating and facilitating training sessions, evaluating training effectiveness, and providing ongoing support to employees during the change process. Collaboration with the OCM team, program managers, business line leads, stakeholders, and subject matter experts is essential to ensure alignment with the overall change management strategy and program readiness. The Training Lead plays a critical role in equipping employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully navigate and embrace the change. System training includes but is not limited to SAP S4 HANA, Ivalua and Workday. Job Functions & Responsibilities: • Training Needs Assessment: Conduct a thorough assessment of training needs by analyzing the impact of the ERP modernization on employees skills and knowledge. Identify gaps and develop training strategies accordingly. • Training Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the ERP modernization goals. Determine the training methods, formats, and resources required to effectively deliver the necessary training. Collaborate with internal Talent Development to ensure training and leadership/soft skills training are aligned and complementary. Liase with internal Technical Training team to ensure training is in line with enterprise training policies (ex: tools, LinkedIn Learning, LMS). Collaborate with System Integrator and platform vendors as needed to ensure training content is up to date with system updates, new features, and business process changes. Build journey maps and competency blueprints to align with performance management, stakeholder analysis, change champion network, multi-pronged training strategy and post-implementation adoption plan. • Training Program Design: Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop training programs and materials. Ensure that the training content is accurate, engaging, and tailored to the specific needs of different employee groups. • Training Delivery and Facilitation: Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and webinars utilizing classroom, hands-on and virtual sessions as needed. Ensure that training is delivered in a manner that promotes active learning and engagement. Utilize various instructional techniques and technologies to enhance the training experience. • Training Material Development: Create and update training materials, including presentations, user guides, job aids, and e-learning modules. Ensure that the materials are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the ERP systems functionalities and processes. • Training Logistics and Coordination: Manage the logistical aspects of training, such as scheduling sessions, booking venues or virtual platforms, and coordinating with trainers or external vendors. Ensure that all necessary resources and equipment are available for training delivery. Coordinate with third party vendors to evaluate and implement external programs. • Training Evaluation and Feedback: Develop evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the training approach. • Change Adoption Support: Collaborate with the OCM team to ensure that training aligns with the overall change management strategy. Support employees in adopting the new ERP system by providing ongoing training, resources, and support during the transition period. • Training Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of training activities, including attendance records, training evaluations, and training completion certificates. Prepare regular reports on training progress and outcomes for program managers and senior leadership. • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify opportunities for improvement. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in training methodologies to enhance the training approach and ensure its relevance. Plan future training needs in conjunction with various leaders. • Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Manage a wide range of complex stakeholder relationships and have confidence in challenging and building trust with senior sponsors. Skills: • ERP Software Experience: Broad knowledge of ERP software is preferred. An understanding of ERP modules relevant Finance, HR, and Supplier Management. • Training and Development: Experience designing, developing and delivering training programs. Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Experience with leveraging a variety of learning models to support learners at various levels in the organization. • Project Management: Strong experience as a project manager of large and complex projects. Ability to coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure training aligns with organizational and program goals and timelines. • Change Management: Experience helping employees transition to new systems and processes. Skills in addressing resistance to change and promoting user adoption. Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of learners. Ability to lead and influence teams or cross-functional groups. Able to work with all levels of management internal and external. • Technical Skills: Comfort using various training delivery platforms and tools. Basic troubleshooting skills for technical issues during training sessions. Education & Certifications • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in training and training development roles. • Minimum of at least 1 full lifecycle ERP implementation experience as a Training team member of an ERP solution. Experience with SAP, Workday, and Ivalua (preferred), • Demonstrated experience in effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, internal and external, and senior management to align training with program goals. • Demonstrated competency in interpersonal skills, effective communication, facilitation, organizational skills, and presentation skills. • Experience planning and/or conducting training in a hybrid environment.
