We are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist in our Gentle Dental World office located at 35-30 Francis Lewis Blvd, Queens, New York 11358, United States to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They also may educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills. Pay- $57-$60/Hour with monthly production bonus available. Schedule- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9a-7p and Saturday 9a-4p. Technology- Laser Technology and Guided Biofilm Technology coming. Benefits- Full benefits and 401k contribution plan. Responsibilities * Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients oral health. * Provide education to patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. * Assist the dentist during procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. * Review documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. * Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. * Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pediatric dentistry. * Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office systems. Skills * Strong knowledge of dental office operations and procedures. * Proficiency in patient care practices, including effective communication skills. * Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental hygiene. * Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently. * Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is upheld. * Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is a plus. * Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff.
