School Nurse

A renowned childrens learning organization based in NYC is currently seeking a full-time school nurse for their location in the Bronx. The School Nurse in this position will be tasked with conducting health screenings, providing first aid/wound care and student support as needed, and developing and monitoring health plans for students. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Demonstrate sensitivity and good judgment in working with student and parents * Ensure that all immunizations and physical exams are up to date and serve as the liaison with parents with respect to the children's needs as appropriate, including health care plans * Administer, record, monitor and review all prescription and non-prescription medications and any information related to the child's reactions to such medication * Communicates appropriately and effectively with student, parents, faculty, and other school personnel * Promotes wellness and healthy behaviors through teaching and education * Provides prescribed care to student requiring professional nursing services Qualifications: * Registered Nurse - New York State Licensure * Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing * Must have 1+ year experience working as a school nurse INDEEDTH Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Per diem Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour Medical Specialty: * Pediatrics Physical Setting: * School Schedule: * Day shift Application Question(s): * What is the best phone number and email address to reach you?
