Starting: 01/20/2025 Salary: $70 - $90/hr DOE Hours: Full-time Duration: 1-year Type: Temporary Workplace: On-site or remote Consider Relocation: No Job Description Our major medical client is in need of a Design System Strategist to join their team full-time for a 1-year consulting assignment. The role will be critical to crafting the roadmap and vision for an overarching design system in alignment with user needs and business goals while ensuring quality and scalability for dependent design systems and products. Responsibilities: Craft vision and roadmap for the Innovative Medicine design system, aligned with business goals, user needs, and quality Align standards and governance to the Innovative Medicine model Shape the scope to scale effectively to additional TAs and content types Establish a quality assurance framework for how the system is built, maintained, and used following the companys change management and governance Test components to ensure they are built with usability and accessibility best practices and inherit accessible, tested patterns from the team Drive user-centricity, ensure the system is user-friendly, oversee documentation for use, and training for designers and developers Measure success by defining and tracing key metrics to measure the design systems impacts (e.g., accessibility, efficiency, consistency) Gather feedback and iterate to identify areas for improvement and evolve with the changing needs Inherit new accessible components from the teams design system and push new components to team Domain Expertise: Skilled at creating interaction design solutions for desktop, web, and mobile applications Strong visual design skills, able to create compelling, branded, high-fidelity product screens Familiar with working with design systems that consistently scale across platforms Technical experience in Figma (REQUIRED) and Adobe Suite; nice to have experience in Jira, Invision, Zeplin, HTML, JS, CSS, Material-UI, React-JS, Bootstrap Experience designing systems and tools to enable customer interactions and collaboration (e.g., digital self, precision marketing, DAM, immersive technology) Product / Digital Expertise: Experience in underlying conceptual models based on human-centered design principles to deliver a fully aligned, context-driven experience Foundational skills in Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Automation, and Emerging Technology Hands-on experience designing consumer applications for desktop, web, and mobile Proven experience working in design teams in an Agile Product Development setting Leadership Skills and Behaviors: Creates a culture that relentlessly focuses on helping people and organizations we touch Focuses on Business agility, Agile delivery with a fail-fast mindset, and measurable outcomes Commitment to Our Credo, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion by ensuring we attract, develop, and retain talent that reflects the communities our teams serve Experience planning and conducting user research at various stages of the design process, focusing on the end user Creative problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize ideas into tangible solutions for design Values an iterative design approach and proactively advocates for the end user The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 - $90 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
