Personnel Security Specialist

We are currently hiring experienced Personnel Security Specialists. In this role, you will: Compile and deliver accurate case file packages to the government, ensuring they are complete and ready for adjudicative processing in accordance with applicable guidelines. Initiate employee submissions for the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) or similar systems and facilitate fingerprint submissions. Handle the receipt, review, validation, and processing of documents and case files. Assist with security audits, manage end-of-day procedures, and oversee reception duties, including access control, visitor badging, mail distribution, and other administrative tasks in a professional office environment. Enter case-related data into Personnel Security (PERSEC) systems with precision, managing an annual caseload of approximately 12,000 requests as projected by DCMS-34. Provide direct support to SECCEN customers via telephone and email communications. Qualifications: Experience in adjudicating personnel security background investigations for federal government employment eligibility and suitability. Exceptional attention to detail, strong documentation, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of project management principles and best practices. Bachelor's degree required. On-site presence in Chesapeake, VA, is mandatory for this position.
