Florida Vision Institute is seeking an energetic, patient-focused, and customer-oriented Call Center Representative for our multi-specialty Ophthalmology practice. This hybrid/remote position is based out of our Flagler Drive office in West Palm Beach, FL. Scheduling / Confirming / Canceling / Rescheduling appointments in a positive, compassionate, empathetic and professional manner.Listen to patients needs and schedule appointments appropriately using our NextGen scheduling software.Collect accurate patient information, verify Demographics, Vision and Medical insurance plans.Triage calls in an efficient and effective manner.Redirect calls local offices for directions confirmations and other needs.Confirm referrals / Authorization / Providers status / Office locations / CPT codes / Confirm pharmacies / RX status.Other administrative duties as assigned.Knowledge of medical and vision insurance preferred.Previous Call Center and/or Medical experience preferred.Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Creole) a plus.. Optometry/Ophthalmology experience a plus. Basic computer skills, utilizing dual monitors. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and part of a team. Reliable transportation to meet attendance and schedule requirements.
