Electrician

***** As an Electrician, you"ll join the critical infrastructure team at a leading power generation company. This position requires 100% travel to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment in the Detroit, MI area and surrounding states as necessary. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience with schematics or blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. ***** - Install, repair, and service electrical systems and components in commercial settings. - Source and fabricate replacement electrical components as needed. - Interpret blueprints and work according to the National Electrical Code (NEC). - Supervise and guide other electricians on job sites when necessary. - Ensure the procurement of tools, equipment, and materials for projects. - Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper functionality. - Provide assistance during electrical emergencies and system failures. - Maintain project records and prepare reports on progress and issues.Job Requirements***** - High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree in Electrical or related field preferred- Minimum of 6 years of commercial electrical experience - 2+ years of switchgear experience - Telecommunications experience is a plus - Journeyman Electrician License preferred- Ability to interpret and work from electrical schematics and blueprints- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and best practices- Valid driver"s license required - Willing and able to travel 100% of the time
