Machine Operator I

Laars Heating Systems Company is seeking a Machine Operator.With little supervision, this position will set up, operate and perform simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment. May sort, load, unload, check and inspect. Keep necessary records, reports rejects and failure patterns. Works to sketches, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal instructions. Maintain a quality focus while maintaining production rates.The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with Fridays as Overtime.$1500 Sign On Bonus!The essential job functions *****The ability to understand written and verbal instructions.The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.Responds appropriately to system, process, or material problemsPerforms required inventory functions (e.g. inquiries, updates, transactions, certs)Follows SOPs using correct materials and toolsPerforms required tasks for product changeover and startupPrevious experience in the operation of high volume manufacturing equipment and the use of common hand tools.Set-up machineUnderstands all job hazards, demonstrates safe behaviorsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum of 1 year manufacturing experiencePhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentContinuous standingFrequent walkingFrequent pushing/pullingFrequent upper extremity useAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
