Packaging Machine Operator--2nd Shift

We have an opening for a 2nd Shift Packaging Machine Operator position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth. This role is located at the famous Sanders Candy facility in Clinton Township, MI!A Packaging Machine Operator is a vital member of our production team, ensuring the efficacy of all machinery/equipment that aids in the process of multiple kinds of our famous Sanders products to fulfill our vision of making things better by nourishing people and nature.Afternoon shift 3:00p-11:00p Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to work daily overtime as well as weekends as needed.The starting pay rate is $17.06 per hourEssential duties and responsibilities include:Efficiently monitor and run various packaging machinesEnsure accurate code dates, weights, and that products are put into appropriate packaging Perform assigned preventative maintenanceTroubleshoot & correct packaging machine problemsClean packaging machines and maintain a clean work environment.Assist with setting up and changing over of packaging machinesWork with team lead and supervisor to hit performance targetsFollow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policiesMaintain clean and safe work area Preform other related duties as assigned Qualifications:At least 18 years old;High school diploma/GED;English proficientMust have a positive attitude At least 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment;Self-directed;Ability to work well with peers and supervisors;Attention to detail;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production lines running efficiently.Physical Requirements:Standing for 8-10 hours;Walking up and down stairs;Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently;Working in slightly elevated temperatures;Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.Sanders Chocolate Factory 23770 Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI 48036This is a full-time position that includes a comprehensive benefit package including paid time off, employee discount, medical, dental, disability and life insurance and a 401(k) plan with company match!We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
