Job DetailsLevelEntryJob LocationPeter Blum Family YMCA - Boca Raton, FLPosition TypePart TimeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYWorking under the direction of the Facilities Director, in collaboration with a dedicated team of Family Center staff, and operations professionals, and as a Non-Exempt employee, your primary responsibility will be to support the Associations objective of membership growth and member retention for a full facility YMCA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS•Perform all duties as assigned to housekeeping personnel.•Excellent communication skills.•Ability to work independently.•Ability to prioritize tasks and functions.•Provide superior cleaning and detail service to all equipment and facilities.•Removal of recycling and trash from all buildings.•Carry materials, supplies and equipment in and around all facilities.•Clean, inspect and prepare all facilities nightly. •Report housekeeping and maintenance problems nightly that need repair.•Safely know and use the proper equipment and maintain it according to standards. •Keep inventory and location of all equipment.•Report any problem with the equipment or facilities to supervisor and address directly. •Keep inventory of products and supplies and report needs to supervisor. •All other duties as assigned by Management.•Prepare set -ups for meetings and breakdown of meetings.Job QualificationsEDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE•High school diploma or equivalent required. •Three or more years of experience in maintenance/ housekeeping.•Broad overview of the YMCA as it operates as a local, national, and international movement. •May be required to stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone and other equipment.•Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.•Must possess auditory, verbal and visual capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone and in personYMCA Competencies (Leader):•Mission and Community Oriented: Accepts and demonstrates YMCA values.
