We elevate wellness and strive to anticipate every need to offer a life more inspired.Qualifications:Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.Must possess or be capable of completing the FDNY Fire and Life Safety Director certification requirements within the first six (6) months of employment.Current FDNY Fire Safety Director Certification Preferred.Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.Able to safely use basic maintenance and landscape-related hand tools and light power tools, such as shovels, rakes, blowers, mowers, drills, saws, sanders, buffers, vacuuming, extractors, etc.Building Services Associates will be required to work with caustic materials and cleaning equipment in order to fulfill their job responsibilities. They must be able to understand English well enough to read and comply with safety instructions for proper use of such materials and machinery to protect themselves and others (employees, residents, and guests) from injury.Responsibilities:The Building Services Associate performs building, common area, and grounds cleaning services on a daily basis in accordance with Company standards. This individual assists other community personnel on an as-needed basis as well as verifies model room and first impression readiness. Additionally, this individual is responsible for assisting the Fire Safety Director in carrying out the requirements of all federal, state, and local laws, including Fire Safety and Fair Housing regulations.Provide cleaning services for business offices, interior and exterior public and common areas, and amenities of the community in a safe, neat, clean, and attractive condition.Provide floor care services for carpet, tile, and wood floors, including vacuuming, extracting, buffing, sealing, stripping, and other services as needed. Compact and remove trash and debris from community areas.Maintain all grounds, including sidewalks, public walkways and stairways, building exteriors, and garden areas in a neat, clean and attractive condition.Perform basic maintenance-related work requests, including but not limited to touch-up painting, spot cleaning carpets in apartments and common areas, and filter changes in apartments.Assist residents with their luggage and other items. Conduct quality assurance checks of rent-ready apartments, model rooms, and common areas and verify their condition is consistent with brand standards.Transport resident deliveries to their rooms and assists them in unpacking, if necessary.Perform duties of the Fire Safety Director in the absence of the Fire Safety Director, except supervising Fire Safety Staff training.Complete the daily check of the availability of Fire Safety wardens and deputies.Assist the Fire Safety Director in carrying out the requirements of the FDNY plan and Fire Code/Rules in the presence of the Fire Safety Director.Notifiy management concerning the need for repairs.Report potentially unsafe conditions promptly to Supervisor.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work performed.May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.Salary Range:The wage range for this position is $33.81/hr - $38.88/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
