Business Overview: The Equity Derivatives Structuring team (Americas) is a multi-disciplinary team, centrally positioned within Equity Derivatives and Global Markets Americas. The team is also known as: Global Markets Americas - Equity Derivatives Structuring - GSG Investment Solutions. The Equity Derivatives Structuring team is front-office team that focuses on: · Pricing, and transacting in financial derivatives, including advanced derivatives, as well as Quantitative Investment strategies and specific wrappers (swaps, structured notes, funds). · Acting as derivatives product specialists and generating quantitative analyses to answer requests by salespeople, traders and clients on such products, or initiate product ideas with salespeople, traders and clients. · Researching, designing and creating innovative derivatives products and quantitative investment strategies for clients. · Marketing and creating marketing materials to present such innovative derivatives products and quantitative investment strategies for clients. · Creating, programming and improving quantitative tools and software to perform the above structuring functions. · Collaborating closely with functions on business related to equity derivatives or quantitative financial products: credit risk, market risk, compliance, legal, marketing and other teams as needed. · Client types serviced include: Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Pensions / Endowments / Foundations, Insurance Companies, Distribution, Corporates, both in the Americas and worldwide. The Equity Derivatives Structuring team reports jointly to the Head of Equity Derivatives for Global Markets Americas, and the Head of Structuring (All Asset Classes) for Global Markets Americas. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate at the Vice-President level will have a strong focus on the structuring of financial instruments such as: Equity Derivatives, Hybrid Derivatives and Cross-Asset Quantitative Investment Strategies. The candidate will train be fully operational on such financial instruments as soon as possible. As such, the successful candidate should eventually be able to: · Design, price, market and transact in a range of equity and hybrid derivatives products for Global Markets Americas. · Answer in a timely and accurate manner to requests regarding complex financial derivatives. · Act as a financial and derivative product specialist, interacting and educating Salespeople, Traders and Clients on such derivative products. · Leverage one's quantitative skills, programming skills and knowledge of advanced derivatives to create innovative products suited to market conditions and client needs. · Develop, maintain, market and transact Quantitative Investment Strategies for Global Market Americas, in collaboration with fellow structurers. · Research financial data and financial time series to create innovative Quantitative Investment Strategies suited to market conditions and client needs, leveraging one's quantitative skills, programming skills and understanding of quantitative strategies. · Act as a Quantitative Investment Strategies product specialist, interacting and educating Salespeople, Traders and Clients on such strategies. · Coordinate and/or lead the North America Custom Index Committee for the business. · Coordinate with structuring, support functions (including counterparty credit risk, market risk, compliance, legal, marketing, other asset classes and other regional teams) and trading to support the Sales effort. · Prepare technical product presentations on a range of derivative products and/or Quantitative Investment Strategies. · Present derivative products and Quantitative Investment Strategies to clients (client types include: Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Pensions / Endowments / Foundations, Insurance Companies, Distribution, Corporates). · Contribute to the automation of the platform, including contributing the development of in-house pricing software and proprietary quantitative analysis tools. · Control that the product offering is in line with the BNPP trading capacity and policies. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Strong technical skills including high proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and VBA. · Strong coding & programming skills in languages such as Python, R and/or Matlab. · Thorough understanding of financial derivatives and stochastic calculus. · Strong Science or Engineering background, preferably Masters Degree in a quantitative or business relevant field. · Experience in financial modeling, quantitative finance, and statistical analysis of financial data. · Multi-tasking skills. · Ability to quickly respond to issues under pressure. · Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Strong interest in Finance, Financial Markets, and Quantitative Finance. · At least 3 years of structuring experience at the Associate level or higher (or similar relevant experience) and up to 7-8 years of experience. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
