Vice President of Student Affairs Ventura County Community College District Salary: Job Type: Academic Management Job Number: 2024-00388 Location: Ventura College (Ventura CA), CA Department: VC - President Closing: 12/1/2024 11:59 PM Pacific Description WHAT YOULL DO Under the direction of the President, the Vice President of Student Affairs serves as the Chief Student Development Officer and is responsible for the overall design, organization, delivery, supervision, evaluation, and fiscal management of a comprehensive student development program charged with promoting and delivering programs and services that enhance student and staff success, achievement, and retention. Admission & Records, Articulation, Student Success Plan, Counseling, Educational Assistance Center (EAC), Transfer/Career Center, Extended Opportunities Programs & Services (EOPS), Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE), Cal WORKS, Financial Aid, Student Health Center, International Student Programs, Veterans Affairs, Student Activities, Scholarships, and Outreach and Recruitment. WHERE YOULL WORK Established in 1925, Ventura College was one of the first community colleges in California and currently has an annual enrollment of approximately 19,000 students. Located approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara, the 112-acre campus is set in the rolling hills of Ventura - so close to the ocean that there is a clear view of the Channel Islands from several spots on campus. E Review, monitor and participate in the shaping of regional, statewide and national issues concerning community colleges. E Coordinate the establishment and implementation of unit advisory committees; establish and maintain liaisons with community representatives as participants in the planning, development and modification of unit services and programs. E Promote and participate in the application of computer technology to diversion programs and activities; use a variety of computer software to research, enter, modify and retrieve data for preparation of reports, correspondence and other written materials. E Coordinate and supervise the colleges annual graduation ceremony, honors, and scholarships.
