Position Title: Food Quality Assurance Assistant ManagerLocation: Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaClassification: Full Time - ExemptDepartment: Quality AssuranceReportsTo: Quality Assurance ManagerSchedule: Second Shift (3pm - 12:30am)Jones Networking is recruiting for a Food Quality Assurance Assistant Manager to join a food manufacturing facility in Harrisburg, PA. The Assistant QA Manager ensures that the production and distribution of products meet or exceed all quality standards, in addition to adhering to company and regulatory standards. Our client offers a competitive salary commensurate with years of experience, training and education, a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life & disability insurance, generous PTO plan, flexible spending account, corporate discounts, free parking and much more.Quality Assurance Assistant Manager Position Summary:-Participate in the preparation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all tasks related to Food Quality and Food Safety.-Identify the need for improvement of current programs and implement the necessary changes while properly communicating with the QA and Production Managers.-Assist with Quality Control Staff supervision. Train staff, review their work, provide guidance for improvement and cover for them as needed.-Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformities while working with all operations departments, determine root cause analysis, implement corrective action and follow up on the efficiency of the changes made.-Review production and quality control records and ensure that corrective actions are taken as needed.-Ensure the plant is operating in accordance with federal regulations, customer requirements and BRC standard. Educate all departments to those standards and audit processes and procedures to identify and address gaps.-Oversee some or all pre-requisite programs (maintenance, supplier approval, sanitation, environmental and product testing & allergen programs.Qualifications Summary:-Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or closely related field required.-Experience serving within a Quality Control / Quality Assurance position in the food manufacturing industry.-Minimum of 2 years experience managing Quality and Food Safety Operations preferably in a food manufacturing environment.-Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.-Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
