Primary ResponsibilitiesProduction SupportPerform troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment, including:Electrical/Electronic Systems:Diagnose and repair issues related to drives, controls, and power transmission.Mechanical Systems:Address problems with mechanical components, including conveyor belts, motors, and other power-transmission parts.Execute and document Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all production equipment.Plan and implement maintenance projects as required.Identify and communicate areas for process improvement and equipment upgrades.Conduct forklift maintenance and PMs.Facility SupportMaintain and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, structural components, grounds, chilled water systems, and compressed air systems.Provide basic janitorial support as needed.Electrical System MaintenanceRepair and replace electrical systems in collaboration with a Maintenance Electrician or another qualified technician on staff.Documentation and Continuous ImprovementTrack and log daily maintenance activities, including parts usage.Perform tasks in alignment with 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures.Minimum QualificationsEducation and Training:Vocational school education or equivalent experience in at least six courses from the following areas: Electronics, Advanced Machine Shop, Hydraulics, Water Treatment Systems, Pneumatics, Sheet Metal, Welding (Arc, Gas, Tig), Power Transmission, Electricity, PLC Function, Drafting/Layout/CAD, or AC/DC Drives.Experience:5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent technical training.Skills:Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.Effective communication skills (verbal and written).Basic PC skills for maintenance tracking and documentation.Ability to meet the physical requirements, including lifting up to 60 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods.Performance Standards:Satisfactory attendance and performance record, with no recent written warnings in the past 6 months (excluding attendance).Primary Tools and EquipmentTools: Various powered and non-powered hand tools.Diagnostic Equipment: Includes multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing devices.Machine Shop Equipment: Drill press, welding equipment, and general shop tools.Software: Maintenance system software for record-keeping and diagnostics.Vehicles and Equipment: Forklifts, man lifts, ladders, and other facility tools.Chemicals: Use of water treatment chemicals, lubricants, and cleaning agents as needed.** This is a Union position.
