About HyperframeHyperframe is a metal wall framing system that snaps together without tools, up to 10x faster than traditional construction. The system is powered by software that enables modeling, fabrication, and installation of metal framing with unparalleled precision.About the JobAs a Senior BIM Engineer, you will take customer data (either in 2D or 3D form) and transform it into an accurate, buildable 3D metal framing model using Revit and our in-house software called HyperBIM. You will use 3D laser scanning software to process point clouds, align them to the BIM, and rectify as-built conditions. Finally, you will prepare job data needed to power our in-house manufacturing system, robotic field layout system, and field installation AR app.At Hyperframe, you will join a high-caliber, multidisciplinary team of software engineers, mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and product leaders passionate about leading the construction industry into a new era of digitization and precision. With Hyperframe, details matter, and we are seeking candidates who thrive on getting the details right.ResponsibilitiesClean up architectural Revit models received from Hyperframe customersCreate 3D Revit models from 2D drawings, if necessaryResolve buildability issuesPopulate metal framing elements using Hyperframe's proprietary HyperBIM softwareLink MEP models (IFC or DWG files) into HyperBIM to prevent framing clashesProcess jobsite laser scan data (clean point clouds, register scans, fix misalignment issues, and align to model control)Adjust BIM to as-built point cloudExport data needed for material ordering, fabrication, robotic wall layout, and field augmented reality (AR) appJoin VDC coordination meetings with customersStandardize Hyperframe's BIM workflowsBrainstorm new software features that could make BIM processing easierSkillsStrong detail-oriented approachAn enthusiasm for digitizing the construction industry and improving inefficienciesA problem-solving mindsetStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong math skills, including geometryAptitude and appetite for learningA desire to identity opportunities to improve project workflowsOrganizational skills to manage multiple simultaneous jobs at various phasesStrong technical skills, including working with computers, raw data files, and spreadsheetsDesire to work in a fast-paced, nimble startup environmentHigh adaptability to evolving requirements and tolerance for varying degrees of customer data qualityAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPatience and empathy for customers that may not be fully prepared for sophisticated technology in an outdated industryQualificationsBachelor's degree (ideally in a STEM field)3+ years of experience working with BIM using RevitA basic understanding of how to use AutoCAD and NavisworksParticipated in VDC coordination meetings with other tradesA basic understanding of commercial constructionAbility to work Pacific time hoursBonusesKnowledge of and experience with commercial metal framingExperience processing point cloud data and using Cyclone Register 360+ and ReCap Pro
