Join our outstanding team!About the Job - Located in either Verona, Kentucky or Calera, AL:This role will manage the Operational Excellence program at all Regional Sites. The primary goal is to promote continuous improvement to help MLC achieve measurable processes and financial results consistent with business objectives. This position will be a primary contributor to determining the direction and scope of Operational Excellence activities. This position is key to establishing and sustaining a continuous improvement minded workplace culture.Essential Functions:Support planning that defines program scope and content. Facilitate, lead, and direct improvement projects. Identify improvement opportunities and assist organization in prioritization of effort. Promote effective use of contemporary problem-solving tools and industry best practices. Coach and mentor project leaders and managers in change management competencies and strategies. Train and develop employees in problem solving methods and techniques. Support plant and functional leaders in deployment of Operational Excellence programs within the Regional Operations of MLC. Work with Operational Excellence Team in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to provide Company Standards consistent with all MLC sites. Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities, as needed. Requirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience with a technical degree). Experience: 5 or more years related operational excellence experience in a top-notch manufacturing and/or service environment. Overall strong analytical capabilities with relevant experience in financial and general business background. Strong coaching, training and facilitating experience along with history of developing high performance teams. Certifications: Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodology is highly desired. Knowledge: Must be intimately familiar with continuous improvement philosophy, terminology and tools application.
