Position OverviewWe are looking for a Manager, Data & Analytics to join our team! We are looking for ambitious, analytical, hands-on problem solver who can manage multiple projects. This individual should have a strong interest in media, marketing and business intelligence.The role requires the ability to actively apply the agency's proprietary ad effectiveness and measurement tools, as well as 3rd party vendor solutions, to determine the impact of advertising on the client's business. The position also requires the ability to understand the strategic communications needs of client advertisers and align these needs to the day-to-day issues of data and reporting.ResponsibilitiesManage multiple projects and demandsBe part of a team and create clear path to success for analystsProvide intellectual leadership and analytic creativityParticipate in brainstorming sessions with planners, creative teams, media planners, buyers, clients and other partner agenciesDesign and manage execution of custom analysesApply substantial amounts of independent critical thinkingEnsure high quality in data and analytics deliverablesFrom the analyses, uncover business opportunitiesWork to improve automation and reduce human error in data processing and analyticsRequired Skills and Experience4+ years of experience in an analytics function and media roleAbility to scope an analytic solution out of a vague business problemExtensive experience presenting and interacting with clientsExperience managing and mentoring junior team membersStrong understanding of advertising measurement and analytics, with the ability to provide meaningful insight to the client as well as internal teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a special emphasis on ExcelStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional teamComfortable actively participating and contributing in meetings with multiple stakeholdersCapacity for problem conceptualization and solution design through analytical thinkingDesired Skills and Experience Tableau expertise for data investigation and QAExcellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on dataAbility to investigate, analyze and solve problems as well as clearly communicate results through requirement documents independentlyHandle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quicklyStrong attention to detail, well organized and possesses the ability to prioritize multiple tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally comfortable in a consultative, client-facing environmentProficiency in SQL (executing queries, creating / maintaining tables + views, window functions)A working knowledge and awareness of the American sports media landscapeA working knowledge of the digital media landscape, specifically programmatic and social advertisingExperience using syndicated media research tools (Nielsen AdIntel, iSpot, Pathmatics)We See You At IPG Mediabrands, we are unified behind a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
