This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, policy implementation, employee relations, training, performance management, employment law compliance, monthly reconciliation of payroll/benefit expenses, and preparation of benefit accruals and journal entries. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel, assists in the development of personnel policies and procedures. Performs benefits administration to include, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and addressing inquiries from carriers and employees.Ensures that annual benefit open enrollment meetings, materials, system updates, payroll changes, and carrier information requests are prepared timely and accurately. This includes coordinating carrier connections/EDI files.Manages and coordinates all leaves of absence activities to include FMLA, CRFA, PDL. Prepares leave of absence letters and explains leave of absence process to employees.Serves as point of contact for annual 401(k) audit and ensures that auditor requested reports are provided in a timely manner. Reconciles internal payroll records to Fidelity reports and investigates any discrepancies and/or addresses all auditor inquiries.Serves as point of contact for annual workers compensation audit and ensures that auditor requested reports and forms are provided in a timely manner. Prepares and reconciles requested reports and addresses inquiries made by auditor. Creates and reconciles payroll GL reports and prepares bi-weekly payroll journal entries for entry into BaaN. Prepares monthly benefit allocation, PTO, Floating Holiday and payroll accruals in accordance with accounting department deadlines for entry into BaaN.Reviews employee and company ACA data in ADP and ensures form 1094-C and employee 1095's are complete and accurate. Prepares and files statutory reports such as EEO-1, California Pay Data Reporting, multiple worksite reports, CMS reporting, and all other ad-hoc reporting as required.Investigates and collaborates with company management to resolve employee issues or concerns.Maintains human resources information records and compiles reports from the ADP database. Evaluates and recommends improvement to HR processes and procedures to continually meet the needs of the HR Department.Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.Maintains confidentiality and remains open to others' ideas with willingness to try new concepts. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field referred. Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Minimum 5-7 years of progressive human resources experience with emphasis on statutory federal and state reporting and benefit administrationExperience with ADP preferredUnderstanding of federal and state employment law, benefits, and compliance regulationsExperience in administering employee benefit plans with integrated payroll/benefit carrier connections and 401(k) plan administration. Working knowledge of workers compensation (including audits) required.Experience with payroll reconciliation and accruals required.SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plusBilingual in Spanish a plus Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as coach and mentor for other positions in the department.Physical DemandsTypically sits for extended periods at a computer workstation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear.
