It's amazing how our customer-first philosophy has grown on our clients.Atlas Roof Shingles & Underlayments is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager for the Ardmore, Oklahoma facility. This will be a multi-site role with 30% travel to the Dangerfield, Texas location. The Senior Human Resource Manager supports company initiatives by overseeing the recruitment and onboarding process, employee engagement activities and various administrative duties between both plants in in Ardmore Oklahoma and Dangerfield, Texas. This position ensures policies and procedures are enforced fairly and consistently across both facilities, working closely with the Plant Manager and Sr. Division HR Director to stay informed of employee and plant related concerns. This role reports directly to the Sr. Division HR Director.Senior Human Resources Manager ResponsibilitiesOversee all HR functions and HR staff across plant locations.Investigate incidents resulting in injury or damage to company property and assist with the management of workers compensation cases.Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, RTO sheet, employee satisfaction) and provide reports to leadership.Compile, prepare and distribute Employee Handbook which includes plant specific programs, such as Attendance, Drug and Alcohol Policy, Plant Rules and Regulations, Accident Reporting, etc.Lead recruitment efforts for plants by working with hiring manager to create effective strategies to attract high quality candidates for timely execution.Assist and/or lead new employee orientation for new employees (hourly and salary).Be an effective business partner to Plant Manager and department heads by maintaining day-to-day union management relationships to improve morale and assist management in carrying out leadership responsibilities.Respond to unemployment claims, union grievances and any federal and state agencies dealing with employee matters for timely execution.Investigate various training options and set up training schedules as required.Assist with performance management process for respective plants, including employee evaluations, development plans, and performance improvement plans.Counsel employees as needed.Oversee the safety shoe and safety glass reimbursement program.Maintain professional relationships with employees and community, union representatives, and various organizations to assure company goodwill.Prepare for and assist in labor contract negotiations.Compile information and prepares reports and records.Complete other tasks as required.Senior Human Resources EducationBachelor's degree in human resource management, or business-related field requiredSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR is preferredSenior Human Resources Manager Preferred Experience and Certification5-7 years of experience in human resources management, with 2 to 3 years in a regional or multi-location roleExperience in employee relations, union environment, recruitment, and performance managementProven track record of working with senior leadership teamsSenior Human Resources Manager CompetenciesComputer skills required include Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager.Analytical and problem-solving skills a mustEstablish a strong and productive partnership with union officialsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of employment law and HR best practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsStrong leadership and decision-making skillsSenior Human Resources Manager CompetenciesTravel: Ability to travel between plants as needed, up to 30% of the time.Office Environment: Primarily operates in a professional office setting; extended periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and attending meetings.Communication: Requires the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees, senior leaders, and external partners.Mobility: Occasionally required to move about the office or various work sites, which may involve walking, standing, bending, and reaching.Lifting: May occasionally lift and move office materials and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.Total CompensationAtlas Roofing Corporation offers a competitive compensation and vacation/holiday package as well as a comprehensive benefits program including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D/LTD insurance, 401k and Medical & Dependent Care Spending Accounts.Atlas Roofing Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.No calls or agencies please.
