We offer a fresh, fast-paced energy, with a startup vibe.The PositionWe are looking for a Business Operations Assistant to report to our Director of Administrative Operations. This role will provide comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of the technology, billing and administrative departments. The ability to manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities and work independently is a must. The position also involves working with physical and digital legal documents, and therefore requires high attention to detail.The ideal candidate must be hard working, enthusiastic, detail oriented, efficient, and business minded. Demonstrated strong organization and computer skills are required. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, effectively exercise discretion and good judgment, and have strong interpersonal skills.ResponsibilitiesSupport Director of Administrative Operations in ad-hoc projects across a broad spectrum of firm areas.Provide day-to-day support for billing, technology and administrative teams as needed.Assist in basic reviews of case management system processes to ensure quality control and consistency across the firms multiple states and departments.Review production reports and investigate discrepancies in case management system.Review reports of pending billing related items to aid in follow up and escalation.Assist in basic administrative updates of case management system as needs ariseAct as liaison with process owners regarding case management and reporting needs.QualificationsTech savvy a must, including Microsoft ExcelCapable of developing systems and procedures with little oversightWilling to ask questions and "get hands dirty"Comfortable taking ownership and proposing unique solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task; detail oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently, in team setting and get along well with othersMinimum of 3 years working in a professional office environmentPrior experience working at a law firm not required, but a huge plus.Compensation/BenefitsWe offer a compensation package that will be commensurate with experience and a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flex spending, 401k and gym/fitness membership reimbursement.ADA ComplianceConsistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), it is the policy of Friedman Vartolo to provide reasonable accommodations when requested by a qualified applicant or candidate with a disability, unless such accommodation would cause an undue hardship for Friedman Vartolo.
