Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlaceYour role at Clorox:We are looking for the next Strategic Cleaning Innovation R&D Manager where you will lead Clorox's adjacency and whitespace teams to develop novel innovations beyond Clorox's current portfolio.As a R&D functional lead of scaled agile innovation teams, you will partner with Brand Marketing, Insights and Sales to build platforms with strong technical feasibility, financial viability and consumer desirability!As R&D leader you will guide Product, Process and Package development scientists applying technical rigor, design-to-value and sustainability principles to every innovation.As a people leader, the R&D Manager role is key to building our culture of inclusivity, demonstrating commitment to growth and development of our scientists and driving overall team engagementThis position will be located in our Pleasanton, CA office, and the individual will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.Relocation assistance is available.In this role, you will:Lead a team of up to 10 scientists across product, process, and packaging with responsibilities for coaching, development, technical rigor, and performance appraisal. Fostering inclusion, diversity and engagement of the team.Utilize creative problem solving skills and internal/external collaboration to deliver technical and consumer solutions as part of a cross functional team while ensuring technical rigor and appropriate staffing for on time and in budget projects.Identify and champion solutions to consumer, technical and business challenges by developing a strong understanding of the homecare category, our consumer, our technology, leading edge retailers and our business model.Develop and lead strategies for sustainability and value creation (design-to-value), ensuring cross-functional support and business action ability.Effectively partner with supply chain and sales to ensure seamless execution of new product launches.Encourage and foster teams knowledge management and data curiosity through connections with core M&S group. What we look for:10+ years of R&D with a focus on Product, Package and/or Process Development.CPG experience is strongly preferred.Demonstrated people management skills. 3+years direct people management experience is a must.High energy, positive drive, and commitment in setting and meeting aggressive goals and enjoy working in a variety of cultures and settings.Demonstrated skills of strong leadership, critical thinking, technical rigor, risk assessment, communication and teamwork.Strategic Vision with ability to propose, analyze, and articulate short-, medium- and long-term scenarios for business opportunities.Knowledge and experience in manufacturing operations.B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Science or Engineering required. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.-Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100-Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100-Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100All ranges are subject to change in the future.
