Senior CAD Technician DET

Janssen & Spaans Engineering (JSE) is looking for a Senior CAD Technician (DET) to join our team! This role provides engineering excellence, plans, identifies, prioritizes, tracks and monitors tasks and sequences in the process to produce the desired outcome. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Design Technology, Applied Science, or alternate applicable degree and six (6) or more years' experience in performing engineering design drafting on road or bridge projects, including but not limited **Interstates, Highways, and FreewaysUrban StreetsVarious Intersections Including RoundaboutsInterchange LayoutHydrologyReinforced Concrete DetailsSuperstructure ** Prestressed Concrete, Structural SteelFalsework and ShoringConstruction Sequencing & ***** CofferdamsJob **Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting ** AutoCAD or MicroStation (Preferred)Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation, GeoPak design and drafting software (Roadway)Follow client, JSE, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and ASHTO codes and standardsDraft plans and detailed drawings for road construction and miscellaneous projectsRead construction and engineering documents to assist with creation of shop drawingsProvide timely updates for drawing completion and workloadMentor associate CAD TechniciansDesired Skills and *****Associate's degree in Design Technology, Applied Science, or alternate applicable degreeOver six (6) years' experience in related fieldUnderstanding and application of civil engineering concepts and practicesProficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation/Bentley, GeoPak, InRoads, GuideSign design and drafting softwareUnderstanding of Microsoft Office applications i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, TeamsWork independently and coordinate effectively with multi-disciplined project teamsEffective time management skills to meet deadlinesExperience with traffic and signage detail (preferred but not required)Detail-orientedA culmination of Road and Bridge Engineers, CAD Techs, Surveyors, and Project Managers, JSE thrives on pushing the industry forward one project at a time.
