OVERVIEWAESC is a world leading EV battery manufacturer with presence in China, Japan, France, Spain, UK and the US. We are looking for a Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Purchasing Manager in the US to work on large scale new engineering procurement construction projects. The products consist of state-of-the-art cutting-edge technology in battery production. The role requires strong cross-functional working relationships with, industrialization team, finance, supply chain, and various other internal stakeholders. You will interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization supporting them in the purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and requirements. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and writing skills are required. The successful candidate would have solid experience in purchasing, be self-motivated, collaborative and thrive in a dynamic environment.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES1. Establish procurement strategy on related construction services, engineering and materials based on the projects construction plan in reverse order.2. Stay up to date with the latest market trend and continuous sourcing for the best products and services for the business with the most reasonable prices.3. Create and execute the procurement strategy.4. Organize bidding and tendering, vender bidding and nomination.5. Manage vendor contracts and track vendor payments.6. Renegotiate business plan based on project adjustment.7. Use SAP to manage PO/PR requirements based on output of above.8. Proactively seeking cost-saving solutions to enable company industrial development.9. Partner with suppliers and vendors globally and identify strategies to scale second product development.10. Coordinate & support for global plant launch equipment & global direct material related project issues.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or supply chain preferred.· 5+ years of proven success in procurement/contract management, preferably in MEP/CSA, construction, or facilities space of large industrial construction projects ($100 million USD+ capex)· Required technical skill include but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (particularly with MS Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint), Power BI , and SAP· Must have experience in strategic sourcing, cost analyses, and contract negotiations in CAPEX.· Experience in project controls or construction management is preferred.· Experience in semi-conductor, battery, construction, or automotive industry is highly desirable.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.· Experience in training and mentoring peers on best practices for project management and execution.We participate in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.SPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
