Join Climate Pros as our Claims & Insurance Supervisor, where you will be pivotal in overseeing insurance claims and risk mitigation strategies for our U.S.-based operations. This hybrid role, based preferably in Glendale Heights (other branches may be considered), focuses on managing claims related to workers compensation, general liability, and auto liability for a large workforce. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in a U.S. corporation with revenues of $500 million or more and a proven track record in mitigating risk and managing insurance claims. International experience is optional; this role involves minimal travel (approximately 5%). To find the nearest office, please check the locations listed on their website.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability streams of commercial insurance programs, including efficient handling of claims, gathering data on claims for both record keeping and loss forecasting purposes, and remaining apprised of the financial value of claims, coverage placement, and litigation management.Assist as a primary handler of Auto Liability claims as workload requires.Develop KPIs associated with claims and claim specialist performance.Please prepare and present reports and presentations on claims performance, risks, and financial outcomes to keep senior management updated on claims.Monitor insurance policy, industry changes, and updates commensurate with organizational strategy, growth, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and minimize financial risk.Led and mentored a team of claims specialists and insurance coordinators, providing guidance, training, and performance management.Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to achieve goals and objectives.Participate in internal and external audits related to claims and insurance operations.Mitigate the organization's exposure to risk by formulating, developing, and coordinating all claims-related activities and resolving claims at the least possible cost through risk transfer techniques, where applicable.Partner with stakeholders and leaders to provide advice and guidance concerning contractual risk transfer and other risk mitigation tactics for human resources, business development, and safety.Liaison between insurance agencies, brokers, and law firms with the risk and insurance teams throughout litigated cases to ensure each is brought to a suitable resolution.Assist in the renewal process with the Insurance Coordinator, Management, and Broker(s). This would include coverage, Terms, conditions, endorsements, pricing, and rates.Oversight for post-loss reduction monitoring, such as salvage, subrogation, and rehabilitationManage the RMIS platform and ensure claims specialist workflow is achieved within the system.Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance and claims, with a strong preference for candidates with a risk management background. At least 2 years should be in a leadership or team lead role, explicitly focusing on construction or industrial liability claims.Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required. (Equivalent experience instead of a degree will also be considered.)Proficient in using computers and various software applications, including a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding the company's interests.Highly detail-oriented and accurate, with a proven track record of meticulous record-keeping and data management.Prone to taking action and demonstrating professionalism in all aspects of the role, focusing on achieving results.Cautious and vigilant in protecting the company's assets and interests, with a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying complex information clearly and succinctly to various stakeholders.Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.Honest team player, growth-oriented, and able to do whatever it takes safely!Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; noise level is usually moderate. All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride-along with a field technician as part of their employment.
