As partners with DOE's Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO), coalitions deploy affordable, efficient, and clean transportation fuels; energy efficient mobility systems; and other fuel-saving technologies and practices.Drive Clean Indiana, Inc. advances air quality improvement, economic opportunity, and energy security through deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure, education programs,We are looking for talented, enthusiastic, and energetic self-starters to serve as Project Managers in the Indianapolis (Central Indiana), Evansville (Southern Indiana), as well as Fort Wayne (North Eastern Indiana) areas by supporting regular programmatic events, and associated outreach and administrative functions. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization that is advancing transportation energy solutions, green fleet management strategies, and more!The Project Manager position advances vehicle technologies to educate people, corporations, agencies, and others about problems related to excessive dependence on and use of imported petroleum and about near-, mid-, and long-term solutions to our transportation energy obstacles. The use of natural gas, propane, biofuels, electricity, hydrogen, and other energy efficient mobility systems helps produce a cleaner environment for the cities, suburban zones, and rural areas.This position oversees expansion of efforts to advance air quality improvement, economic opportunity, and energy security through deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure, educational programs, and other petroleum reduction efforts. Working closely with State of Indiana governmental agencies, and Indiana business and non-profits.The incumbent will also service as an additional environmental stewardship and Environmental Justice leader for DCI and related programs at Legacy Environmental Services in mission to serve all people.Duties and Responsibilities: o Assist with management of existing and future customer grant/project portfolio. o Work collaboratively in a team environment. o Prioritize project activities and establishing timelines for implementation. establish work groups to share the workload, build support for goals, and facilitate progress.o Work under timelines and budgets.o Represent the company and its clients, communicate effectively in a variety of public and private forums, workshops including national conferences, meetings, fundraisers, dedication ceremonies, and media events. Regional travel is expected. o Generate positive, frequent media coverage, working with Legacy Environmental Management and Communications & Marketing Coordinator.o Meet with representatives from state, county and federal regulatory agencies, other divisions/departments, interest groups, consultants, the media and other relevant parties in order to coordinate work and exchange information. o Provide public education, facilitate member recruitment and develop contacts. o Manage and grow assigned projects. Qualifications:Knowledge of federal and state grant funding and theevelopment of grant proposals is helpful. This position requires considerable political insight and negotiating skills to avoid alienating a diverse group of Coalition members from the public and private sector. Strong consensus building skills are helpful. Ideal candidates are excellent oral and written communicators, self-starters, motivators, and leaders, creative, organized, and have a functional understanding of technical issues related to alternative fuels and alternative fuel technologies (e.g., electric vehicles, natural gas, propane, biofuels, efficiency, etc.). Candidates should possess a strong interest in and capacity for grant writing and project management. Candidates should also have experience with the following:o The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 5 years of experience working in the energy and/or environmental fields; o Experience working with state and local governmental agencies is preferred; o Candidates should possess expertise and knowledge of environmental regulations/programs, environmental justice, and grant writing; o Excellent written and oral communication; o Planning, organizing, and managing multiple priorities;o Developing and implementing strategic plans and programs; o An understanding of legal and regulatory environment and government programs, including laws, regulatory mandates and grant programs; Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager at Legacy Environmental Services in Evansville, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis areas. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation to ensure successful completion of projects.QualificationsProven experience in project management, particularly in environmental servicesExcellent organizational and multitasking skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesKnowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standardsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teamsBachelors degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
