The PCB Assembly Line Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining specialized machinery used in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including equipment from Yamaha, CSD, Desen, DELV, and HELLER. The operator will ensure that the production line runs smoothly, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. The operator will also be responsible for routine maintenance of the production line equipment.Responsibilities· Set up, operate, and monitor SMT and PCB assembly equipment from Yamaha, CSD, Desen, DELV, and HELLER to ensure proper placement of components on PCBs.· Load production programs, configure machine settings, and load components according to production requirements and job specifications.· Conduct routine visual and automated inspections to ensure PCBs meet specified quality standards. Identify and address any defects or issues in the assembly process.· Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on equipment to resolve operational issues and ensure minimal downtime.· Conduct regular cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity.· Ensure that all required materials, such as components and solder paste, are available for production. Organize and track component inventory as needed.· Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, job information, and downtime logs.· Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions while handling PCBs and electronic components.· Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to identify process improvements, enhance machine performance, and increase production efficiency.Qualifications· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electronics or manufacturing is a plus.· Minimum of 5 years of experience operating SMT equipment, including Yamaha or similar brands.· Familiarity with PCB assembly processes, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques.· Comprehensive understanding of electronics, components, and schematic diagrams.· Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical documents, and assembly drawings.· Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of machine operation and troubleshooting.· Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small, delicate components.· Familiarity with quality control and inspection standards for PCB assembly.· Experience in working in an ESD controlled environment.· Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods during shifts.
