And our robust reporting, detailed analytics and flexible invoicing set the standard.Shamrock is searching for an experienced field EHS Specialist for the Lancaster PA Operations markets and based in the Lancaster, PA area reporting to the VP of HSE. The position provides comprehensive HSE support to operations and identifies, reports and assists with resolution of site-specific safety issues and concerns to the Facility and Business Unit Managers. In the event any unsafe condition is observed, the HSE Specialist has the authority to suspend the affected operation(s) immediately. The HSE Specialist is responsible for implementation of the Company policies and procedures, HASP, JSA etc. including such issues as PPE, training, policy enforcement, industrial hygiene and health monitoring and report preparation, among others. The HSE Specialist is also responsible for decontamination procedures, equipment, and supplies. Other duties may include but are not limited to:· Assess jobsites and facilities for hazards and assist management with corrective actions.· Participate in training program development programs.· Assist with development and maintenance of SOPs, HASPs, JSAs, etc.· Calibrate, operate and maintain monitoring equipment.· Conduct site observations and monitoring.· Provide direct support to project operations to include but not limited to:o Ensure protective clothing used is consistent with the requirements of the HASP.o Periodically inspects protective clothing and equipment.o Ensure that PPE are properly stored and maintained.o Controls entry and exit at the Access Control Points.o Coordinates safety and health program activities with on-site essential personnel.o Confirms each crewmember's suitability for work based on a physician's recommendations.o Monitors the work parties for signs of stress, such as cold exposure, heat stress, and fatigue.o Monitors on-site hazards and conditions.o Participates in the preparation of and the implementation of the HASP.o Conducts periodic inspections to determine if the HASP is being followed.o Enforces the "buddy" system.o Set up decontamination lines and the decontamination solutions appropriate for the type of chemical contamination on site.o Controls the decontamination of all equipment, personnel, and samples from the impact areas.o Assists in the disposal of contaminated clothing and materials.o Ensures that all required equipment is available.o Advise medical personnel of potential exposures and consequences.o Is aware of plant emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and the telephone numbers of the ambulance service, local hospital, poison control center, fire department, and police department.o Notifies, when necessary, local emergency officials.o Coordinates emergency medical care.Potential growth development and advancement opportunities for a committed and enthusiastic candidate. Candidate MUST have a clear, valid drivers' license. The job may include considerable travel primarily throughout PA and surrounding states but may also require support other company operations (FL, NC VA, OK and adjacent states). Travel reimbursement through per diem, Company paid lodging and mileage reimbursement or use of Company vehicle.Physical Qualifications: Regular exposure to chemicals and waste materials. Ability to wear a tight fitting, negative-pressure respirator, and occlusive chemical protective clothing. Position requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent and extensive walking with infrequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/tools of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes and weights including bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. May occasionally lift to 40 pounds and frequently lift 22-30 pounds. Climbs ladders, stairs, etc. at moderate frequency. May occasionally use hand manual and power hand tools. Periodic exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment. Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions and woodland, streamside and swampland flora and fauna. May work up to 12 hours per day, five to six days per week.
