The Project Engineer assists and supports the Project Manager on assigned projects. The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities, and gathers and distributes information. Our ideal candidate will have prior construction industry experience, preferably with a Construction General Contractor, and a positive, "can-do" attitude who is willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done right, and on time.Responsibilities & DutiesReceive, review, forward, and track the status of submittalsInitiate, prepare, review, track, and distribute FWO's, PO's, RFP's, and RFQ'sAssist in the management of project permit processAssist in preparations of bid packages and procurementTrack and inspect material deliveriesAssist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as requiredAttend project meetings, as directed by Project Manager, and record meeting minutesAssist and /or complete project close-outCommunicate and enforce CEPro's environmental, health, and safety management policiesConduct quality inspections during the construction phase of projectsAll other duties as requested or assignedRequired QualificationsKnowledge of general contracting, mechanical or electrical construction practicesAbility to read drawings and specificationsTime management skills and organizational skillsExcellent Communication skillsValid drivers license and reliable transportationPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree-Construction Management, Engineering or equivalentProject scheduling skills with experience in Microsoft Project including schedule development and maintenance desirableWe are an equal opportunity ***** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
