Material Casting Team Lead

Key Responsibilities  Technical Expertise:Lead by example with 3-4 years of experience in trimming, finishing, and painting silicone products, ensuring attention to detail and product quality.Monitor and manage stock levels for casting materials and tools, ensuring sufficient supplies to meet production needs.Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, following all health and safety regulations, especially in managing the casting room and handling materials. Production ManagementOversee the day-to-day of the manufacturing team, ensuring smooth workflow and task allocation.Take a leading role in casting silicone and working with fiberglass molds, ensuring high-quality output.Coordinate team priorities and manage production schedules to ensure manufacturing orders are completed on time.Ensure the team follows best practices in handling and maintaining molds, especially platinum silicone, and oversee small-batch casting processes.Quality ControlReview and sign off on final products, ensuring they meet quality standards.Run QC documentation, ensuring that products pass all checks before shipment.Proactively address issues in production or quality, working to resolve them quickly.Team LeadershipProvide support and guidance to team members, helping them improve their molding, casting, and finishing skills.Offer constructive feedback to direct reports, ensuring they understand areas for improvement.Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, motivating the team to meet production goals and maintain high standards.Process & Systems ImprovementLook for ways to improve the manufacturing process, suggesting updates or changes to make workflows more efficient.Keep the team informed of any changes in processes and ensure they are implemented smoothly.Communicate progress and any challenges to upper management, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.Ideal Candidate TraitsTechnical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience in silicone casting, finishing, and painting.Problem Solver: Ability to troubleshoot production issues quickly and efficiently.Team-Oriented: Comfortable working with and guiding a team, ensuring everyone is aligned on goals and standards.Detail-Oriented: Focused on quality control and ensuring the highest standards are met.Organized: Ability to manage stock, schedules, and team priorities effectively.
