Inventory Control Specialist

We are growing in New York City and looking to expand our team!Job **The Inventory Control Specialist will help maintain the organization's inventory, while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.Duties/Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.Develops and maintains good working relationships with team membersMaintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.Handle incoming and outgoing shipments.Manages and maintains inventory system.Conducts weekly audits of physical inventory according to the companys work procedures.Assists with periodic physical inventory audits.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent communication skills with Inventory department co-workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.Ability to focus and give attention to little details.Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.Ability to work in a team.Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.Work Location - Midtown Manhattan - Hours are 9:30AM to 6:00PM Monday to Friday.This position requires part time work in our NY office in Midtown Manhattan, 9:30AM to 6:00PM - Monday to Friday - ***Remote or partially remote work is not possibleEducation and *High school diploma or equivalent required.Basic computer skills (word , Excel etc. )Experience in the Jewelry/Gem industry - an advantage.Physical **·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
