Must be ready to work as a part of a team and assist wherever needed.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Candidate will be reporting to the plant manager directly with dotted-line responsibility to the Director of Operational Excellence. This position is developmental/transitional, and the candidate should be capable of being considered for future Managerial, Engineering, Quality or Divisional OE successionDuties and Tasks/Essential Functions:Support and assure the integrity of the Bonnell Business systemUse the Business System as the guide to drive systems and decisionsSupport/assure management standard work exist and is effectiveDrive/Co-own the PDM process to assure direction of improvement supports plant goalsTrack and report on key metrics as defined by the PDMEstablish review schedule and standard work for PDM activitiesSupport management with critical thinking processes to elevate the organizationAble to be trained and provide training in OPEX methodologies and tools Lead, direct, and mentor OPEX Greenbelts and their project teamsTrack and report on key projects, participate actively in phase gate reviewsMaintain and keep current list of potential projects i.e., manage project portfolioWill be a part of a wider OPEX network and should be able to travel and assist in training, OPEX events, and other Divisional activitiesCoach and mentorWork with high-performance teams to develop operators by coaching problem-solving methods at the source for root-cause eliminationResource for goal setting and opportunity identificationSafety mentor and advocateFacilitate Kaizen and Mentor others to do soEducation and/or ExperienceBlackbelt or Greenbelt certification or ability to certify with project results will be expected.Master of Science in Engineering or other Secondary degree highly preferred, however BS in an Engineering Field and/or applicable experience will be considered. (Must have 5 years minimum of applicable experience to be considered).Previously demonstrated leadership experience required.
