BASIC FUNCTION: Demand Planner intern is responsible for developing Demand Planning tools and processes to be formalized for use in a formal Demand Planning role. This person will work with our SAP competency team, SOP process owners and other departments to develop a best practice approach for the Demand Planning role. Additionally, this intern will initiate the Demand Planning role and with Working with the Supply Chain Planning Manager will develop the daily, weekly and monthly processes required for this role. The Intern must be adept at managing complexities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the Manufacturing industry. This role requires a blend of analytical prowess and communication skills to ensure goals are met. This position requires the student to be able to work either as a full time intern or as a part time Co-op for the Spring 2025 semester and full time from May to July (vacation time can be considered). The student must be located in the Cincinnati, OH area. Some remote work will be available. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Omya colleagues to develop tools required to perform the demand planning function. This includes identifying key data elements required and building processes to retrieve data elements efficiently.Develop key performance indicators relevant for Demand Planning. Formalize process for collecting and reporting on these indicators.Work with Supply Chain Planning Manager to define and implement daily, weekly and monthly tasks required to perform the Demand Planning function. Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to refine forecasts based on market trends and promotional/sales activities.Preparing and presenting forecast and inventory metrics to management teams including monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management and have completed a minimum of 3 semesters. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. Strong skills in analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, required. Must possess current US employment authorization; sponsorship not available for this position.EOE
