Overview:Our client makes control investments in lower middle market, typically founder / owner-operator led business across economy. The firm is a values-driven, results-oriented organization with a collaborative team culture.We are actively recruiting for someone to lead their Talent group in their Menlo Park, CA office. This hire will build deep relationships with relevant world-class operators to help accelerate their investment pace and create value in the existing and future portfolio. The hire will build a constellation of exceptional operators, lead targeted searches, and help the firm more effectively manage third-party recruiters.Responsibilities:Build, maintain, and harvest deep relationships with world-class executives who have thematic and functional overlap with the firm, in order to: Find Investments:Identify and break-in with attractive new investment opportunitiesWin Investments: "Win" high quality, competitive opportunitiesAnalyze Investments: Better diligence prospective investments and thematic areasImprove portfolio performance by leading and supporting high impact hiresBuild and maintain a constellation of world-class, relevant C-level leaders to fill high frequency / impact portfolio searchesImprove the firms recruitment agency relationships and processesPinch-in to support internal talent, brand, and cultural initiatives. Examples where they may get involved will be in supervising the firms website, LinkedIn, and broader PR presenceand improving their internal hiring and onboarding processes.Partner and consult directly with hiring managers to build their teams, balancing team bandwidth and business prioritiesWork with leadership to evaluate and continuously improve the team structures, systems, and hiring processesCreatively source candidates for positions, utilizing a variety of recruitment resources such as employee referrals, internet sites, personal network and recruitment agenciesGather and present market data on hiring trends and market compensationEnsure positive candidate experience with frequent and timely communication throughout recruitment processAct as an ambassador for the firm; educate candidates on the culture, career growth, benefits and many advantages of working with themUnderstand diversity goals for each business and create a strategy to meet these goalsQualifications:BA/BS with 4-8 years of recruitment experience working in-house at a Private Equity or Investment Management firm OR with an Executive Recruitment agency. Ideal candidates will have experience working on Board and/or C-level searches.Demonstrated track record of outreach and sourced candidates, who is still comfortable (and excited) about leading more focused outreach efforts.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build deep long-term candidate relationshipsTrack record of sourcing and placing high impact hiresBalances competing projects effectively and efficiently"Roll up your sleeve" mentality, no task too large or too smallHigh energy, proactive and self-motivatedAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-change environmentInnovative, creative and results oriented
