Such functions include employment and staffing, employee relations, security, employee compensation and benefits, employee development and training, employee communication, and compliance with applicable employment laws as well as developing and administering policies and procedures. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Interpret and administer the Company's policies and procedures. Maintain the team member handbook and enforce the policies, procedures and practices set forth in the handbook. Facilitate all employee complaints/disputes working with employees and management to determine a resolution. Recruit and hire all exempt, non-exempt, hourly, and temporary employees.Oversee the administration of employee benefits, some payroll functions, unemployment compensation, and plant security.Participate in the development and monitoring of various training and development initiatives.Responsible for employee performance appraisal programs and wage and salary administration.Develop and maintain regular communication with all employees to ensure that they are informed of policies and procedure, plant news, and employee recognition.Develop and administer policies, procedures, systems, and training programs.Represent the company in employment-related administrative hearings and other related matters.Maintain and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and standards.Manage the development and maintenance of accurate employee information, including both paper and electronic records.Manage all security efforts to ensure facility and employee wellbeing and safety.Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:Comprehensive knowledge of human resources and industrial relations principles, practices, and procedures.Understanding and ability to apply compensation principles and employment laws.Understanding of employee benefit programs and general knowledge of related governmental reporting requirements.Ability to gain the respect and develop a positive working relationship with both management and hourly employees.Negotiation skills necessary to achieve objectives and resolve conflicts.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to develop and encourage teamwork throughout the entire organization.Working ConditionsThe Human Resources Manager will reside in the office, however, will be in the plant occasionally. Must be able to adhere to conditions of the plant.Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.Must be able to move about inside the office and occasionally in the plant, access file cabinets etc.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer.Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person and telephone. Education and Experience Requirements:BA or BS in human resources management or related field. Master's degree a plus.Minimum of 5 years generalist experience in human resources.Minimum of 3 years of HR management in a manufacturing environment.
