Assistant Plant Manager

POSITION **Oversee the daily operations of your assigned work cells. Primary responsibilities will be to train, plan, organize, direct, and complete packaging and production orders. JOB *Direct supervisors and crew leaders in assigned areas of greenhouse Communicate with receiving department of supplies, and resource needsReview production schedules and packaging plan with supervisors, communicate to Plant Manger labor needs for work cell assignmentsTeach train and develop supervisors and hourly personnel.Prepare and maintain packaging and production reports in Microsoft TeamsEnsure the use of work instructions and run rates, use of tracking tools hour by hour boardsMaintain and promote Safety activities to provide a safe working environmentInvolved in creating SOP's and work instructions alongside the Continuous Improvement TeamResponsible for the implementation of SOP's and training of the staffAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION *College Degree or equal Work Experience Previous experience in front-line supervision4+ years of management experience in a diverse environmentExperience with Microsoft ** word, excel, power pointAbility to work with all levels of employees and managementFlexibility to work in a fast-paced environment Hands on commitment to getting the job done in a safe mannerExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong leadership and motivational skillsPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & *****Climate controlled office or home office environmentContinuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talkingFrequently requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, and handlingOccasionally requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 20lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouchingRarely requires climbing
