GENERAL SUMMARYThe Program Manager will be the liaison between Development Departments and all "Upstream" &"downstream" customers for scheduling / communication / deliverables / events in relations to Program development on all existing and New Model programs. Under limited supervision, this position will work closely with other functions on "upstream" activities for the successful transfer of information and schedule development from initial concept through SOP. This position will also lead the coordination of all associated BOMs within the program scope and track necessary deliverables to ensure the program milestones are achieved.ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Drives cross-functional team to ensure all program deliverables are completed on-time and at target level. Holds team members accountable and escalates high risk issues for quick resolution.2. Manages and controls program financial budgets for: Bill of Material (BOM), Tooling, Investments and Engineering Design & Testing (ED&T).3. Is the key contact for customers for program deliverable information and provides close support to the internal Key Account managers for customer commercial issues.4. Tracks and reports program deliverable status to senior leadership team.5. Closely coordinates with manufacturing's New Product Launch (NPL) team to ensure all manufacturing milestones and build dates are met.6. Generates detailed timing plans to manage and monitor project tasks.7. Retrieve and report monthly KPI items for the program/department.8. Leads and enables cross-functional team members to resolve project open issues in a timely matter and generate recovery plans as needed, escalating to senior leadership as appropriate.9. Drives and supports continues improvement for program management and product development processes.10. Ensures the project team follows Highly-Marelli development processes and documents all required deliverables. Is a key member of IATF audit support team for programs under review.11. Communicate with various internal and external teams to address program timing, tool timing and piece cost, timing or cost gap issues, status of open issues, etc.12. Co-ordinate core team members to deliver QCD targets and lead by example.13. Must follow all company requirements regarding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.14. Perform other duties as assigned.The above typical duties are characteristic of this job and demonstrate a level of difficulty and are not intended to list or limit the duties that may be required or assigned to an employee in this classification.WORKING CONDITIONSThis work is performed in a general manufacturing and office environment. 20% Travel when needed (domestic and international).EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEThe incumbent must:ï‚· Have a high school diploma or GEDï‚· Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and five to eight years of experience in related field-or-ï‚· An advanced degree and generally three to five years of experience in a related fieldï‚· Typically have a Certification in PMP: Program Management Professionalï‚· Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applicationsï‚· Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programsï‚· Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug testï‚· Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encountersReasonable accommodations may be made to those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDIntermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
