Our in-jail clinical services include medical, nursing, and mental health care; substance-use treatment; social work; dental and vision care; discharge planning; and reentry support. Position OverviewThe Senior Director of Central Supply and Fleet Management is responsible for the overall operational administration and management of CHS' warehouses and logistics. This includes the development and implementation of strategies for improving key performance indicators, including staff safety, logistics management, and inventory accuracy.Essential Job Functions:Ensures optimal effectiveness and production through effective use of inventory software, specifically warehouse management, inventory procurement and management, labor control, and distribution logistics.Develops and drives a culture of accountability through daily assessments and operational evaluation.Ensures an accurate inventory of products at all times through a maintained inventory control system.Directly accountable for the successful implementation, assessment, and transition of all new operational initiativesUsing quantifiable metrics and management expertise, perform departmental audits to determine cost benefit, demand, and service capacity.Supports a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and communicating process and safety improvements.Ensures equipment and facility are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to reduce waste and manage repair needs.Oversees preventative maintenance for vehicles, equipment, and facilities.Suggests replacement schedule for facility systems, equipment, and vehicles.Develops and manages the safety and sanitation programs.Departmental PreferencesMinimum of five years of prior warehouse and logistics management.Demonstrated senior leadership with strategic, policy, and budget planning experienceHigh degree of professionalism, courtesy, strong work ethic, integrity, regard for confidentiality and ability to work with discretion on sensitive mattersStrong written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented and strong organizational and follow-through to coordinate work plans, prioritize assignments and meet deadlinesMinimum Qualifications:Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related discipline; and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance or appropriate functional discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions; orBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above; and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in areas, as listed in "1"; orSatisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in disciplines, as listed in "1" above.
