At Merlo, we perform a vast scope of work including demolition, earthwork, utilities, and concrete with an unmatched reputation for integrity and quality.Merlo is looking to expand our team to include an MDOT/Municipal Estimator/Project Manager. The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for the management of projects from inception to completion. You will oversee and manage the construction effort to ensure projects are completed timely and safely in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.As Estimator/Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited **Estimating *Utilize bid documents and estimating software to perform and produce accurate take-offsGenerate thorough estimates and proposals considering materials, labor, and equipmentCollaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricingSubmit bids in accordance with the requirements of the bid documentsProject Manager *Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other contract documentsCoordinate with General Superintendents to review scope of work, production rates, and supplier informationApprove job specific vendor and subcontractor invoicesPrepare and draft pay applications and invoicesMonitor project throughout the job life cycle to ensure the job adheres to the budget constraints, specifications, and quality standardsEstimate and quote extra work while following up with the customer to ensure change orders are processedEnsure that project controls such as safety forms, MSL's, submittals, RFIs, logs and documents are organized, submitted, closed and completeCommunicate regularly with customers to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction Essential **Experience in estimating and managing MDOT/Municipal projects is preferredStrong knowledge of project management principles and practicesExperience with estimating and scheduling softwareProficient in MS OfficeAttention to detailEffective communicationTime management skillsAbility to analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and make sound decisionsIf interested, please visit our website at to fill out an application or email a resume to careers@.
