Job SummaryTo supervise the Livingston Avenue and Melrich Road Warehouse dispensing operations including establishing operational procedures. In addition, preparing, monitoring and maintaining all department operations such as: matrixes, inventory control, time and resource management, training, shift scheduling, job performance, employee motivation, disciplinary action, and proper disposal of materials. This position will be based out of the Livingston Avenue facility and will require oversight of both the Livingston Avenue and Melrich Road Warehouse.Area Of ResponsibilityEnsures that all Warehouse Department Operations (Dispensing Raw Materials, Dispensing Packaging Materials, Shipping and Receiving and Inventory Control Management) abide by cGMP's.Ensure compliance to SOPs, Guidelines and FDA regulations.Ensures the coordination of process improvement activities that require internal and external resources necessary for successful completion. Ensure timely closure to all related Investigations, Incidents, CCRs, and CAPA's.Prioritize dispensing schedule according to requirements of the Planning and Production departments.Focus on cost containment and cost reduction while maintaining focus on quality.Ensure equipment is functioning within operational requirements.Supports all new product launches within NJ sites. (Receiving/ dispensing/ Shipping material).Ensures training and development levels meet or exceed required levels for proper GMP purposes.Ensure that employees have access to the training/education necessary to develop within the departments advancement program. Measure employee performance against established benchmarks.Guide team leaders in performing critical impact assessment.Ensures team members are motivated, trained and educated for potential advancement/growth within the Organization. Promote a safe working environment through safety training and the implementation of corrective actions to address safety related incidents and observations.Provide cross training opportunities, and ensure skill sets of cross-trained individuals are maintained if not expanded.Provides support for internal and external audits.This is supervisory position with direct reports; therefore, this position will establish goals and objectives, prepare performance appraisals, monitor/review work product and coach/mentor direct reports.Work Conditions:Environmental related to manufacturing/production/warehouse environments:Noise: Sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent, to cause marked distraction or possible injury to sense of hearing.Fumes: Smoky or vaporous emissions, usually odorous, thrown off as the result of combustion or chemical reaction.Odors: Unpleasant smells.Gases: Examples include carbon monoxide and ozone.Dust: Airborne particles of any kind, such as textile dust, wood, and silica.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and bend.Must be capable of bending and lifting, moving and/or carrying up to approximately 50 - 75 pounds.Must have the ability to stand, ambulate and reach as required by job duties while navigating the office, lab, warehouse, and/or plant floor working environments.Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at the site, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes.Travel EstimateUp to 10 %Education and Job QualificationBS in Science or related degree; degree in distribution, logistics, or transportation preferred.Strong team building, managerial, and interpersonal skills.Strong logical reasoning, numerical, technical, and IT skills as well as strong SAP skills.Demonstrated excellent communication: verbal, written and presentation skills.A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.A team building champion driving innovative cross functional synergies.Excellent project management and problem solving skillsThe requirement for English language proficiency for this job role is Intermediate-B1+ (comparable to Global CEFR Independent B1) level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years with a minimum of three (3) years in the pharmaceutical industry in a similar role/function.Inventory control, material planning, and logistics experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical company environment.Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
