About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Retail and Merchandising Operations will play a critical role in optimizing and enhancing retail and merchandising strategies and tactics for the No7 Walgreens Business Team. This position is responsible for developing and implementing merchandising strategies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring operational excellence to drive sales and improve customer experience.The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach that is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects within a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across internal and external partners are essential for success in this role.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesPromotional Strategy & Execution Partner with Global NRM and US Commercial Strategy team to develop and recommend ongoing promotional strategies and tactics for the Walgreens Business Team to drive sales and brand presence.Partner with Global NRM and US Commercial Strategy team to conduct situation assessments on key retailer metrics/levers such as promotions, price thresholds, competitive price gaps, and lift analysis by deal type.Collaborate with No7 sales and category management counterparts to build a comprehensive process for capturing assortment and everyday pricing across the No7 retailer landscape, ensuring easy accessibility for internal No7 partners.Manage promotion submission processes, including the submission of all forms, photos, and documentation for in-store and digital events.Merchandising and Instore Strategy & Execution Collaborate with sales, marketing, and buying teams to plan and execute seasonal campaigns.Partner with the Walgreens Merchandising Team to ensure planned promotions are executed effectively in stores.Lead relationships with third-party vendors to enhance in-store promotions (e.g., tags, employee incentives), and negotiate costs to drive cost reduction.Collaborate with Marketing to manage in-store signage and ensure project timelines for material design, creation, and delivery are met.Liaise with No7 Marketing to execute in-store events, such as Beauty Must Haves, BC Contests, and Holiday Gift of the Week, with precision and efficiency.Work closely with the Walgreens Sr. Category Manager to create transparency around the Planogram (POG) process, timelines, and distribution lists.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support Partner with marketing, business team, and Walgreens merchant teams to align merchandising and promotional activities with broader business goals.Maintain and manage the Walgreens Business Team event calendar, ensuring it is updated with promotions, in-store events, media flights, and other key initiatives.Lead project management efforts and manage timelines for special projects within the Walgreens Business Team.Organize and lead weekly cross-functional Walgreens Business Team meetings, coordinating follow-ups and ensuring all action items are completed.Data Analysis & Reporting Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and make data-driven recommendations.Work closely with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure optimal product availability and stock levels in stores to support promotional and merchandising strategies.Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business or related field and 5-7 years of industry experience in planning, project management, or sales.Experience in CPG and the beauty industry is a plus.Ability to think creatively and recommend process improvements.Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and budgeting.Flexibility and ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and presentation skills with keen attention to detail.Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Flexibility to travel as required (5%).A bit about us...We are No7 Beauty Company, a division of Walgreens Boots Alliance, a modern consumer goods company with purpose, that combines the best of traditional companies with the vibrancy and pace of a new digital-first business.
