Unisys 2200 Production Control Specialist

Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Unisys 2200 Production Control Specialist. The initial engagement will be on-site at our clients site, but will likely become a remote position after successful training and orientation has been completed. The specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production control process for the Unisys 2200 system, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to schedules.QualificationsMonitoring and controlling OS 2200 computer and peripheral equipment to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.Monitoring and responding to OS 2200 operating and error messages.Entering OS 2200 commands and setting controls on OS 2200 computer and peripheral devices.Supporting OS 2200 production control of large-scale computer systems, including job scheduling, job fixing, and automated job control languages.Operating automated equipment such ***** mail insertion machinery; tape libraries; large scale printers; and other such automated equipment.Operating large-scale computer systems, including print, tape and console operations.Knowledge of Opcon job scheduler highly desired.Knowledge of OS 2200 ECL highly desired.** Latham, NY, working on-site required** 3rd shift (Mon-Fri) 11PM-7AM
